An Estuary is a partly enclosed coastal body of water with one or more rivers or streams flowing into it, and with an opening to the sea, where fresh water and salt water meet. Estuaries belong to the aquatic biome because it contains marine life and water. Microflora like algae, and macroflora, such as seaweeds, marsh grasses, and mangrove trees (only in the tropics), can be found in estuaries . Estuaries support a diverse fauna, including a various types of worms, oysters, crabs, and waterfowl. the longest estuary creek is 5km in new south wales and usually they are at sea level or just above sea level. The average rainfall for estuaries is 314mm annually and is 3.9 degrees. Estuaries are found around the coast of continents and countries.
